The Dalling Family’s Story

Welcome to The Escape Straw Maze! We’re the Dalling family, and building this maze has been a dream come true for us. Our family has always loved fall—the crisp air, harvest traditions, and making memories together. We wanted to create a place where other families could experience that same joy.

From stacking bales and designing the twists and turns, to greeting you at the entrance, this maze is truly a family project. Everyone has pitched in—parents, kids, and even extended family—to bring The Escape Straw Maze to life.

Our hope is that when you visit, you’ll not only have fun finding your way through the maze, but you’ll also feel the warmth and heart that went into making it. We believe fall traditions should be full of laughter, adventure, and togetherness—and we’re so excited to share ours with you. We want you and your kids to be able to experience the feel of the farm with our farm animal petting zoo, tractors, and corn pit all for you to explore.

Meet Cache Crain

Hi! My name is Cache Crain, and I’m a founder of this straw maze. I grew up working on farms, and agriculture has always been a big part of my life. Building this maze is my way of sharing that love with others while providing a safe, fun environment for families and individuals to enjoy.

I’m 22 years old and currently attending BYU–Idaho. When I’m not studying or working on the maze, you’ll usually find me outdoors — riding dirt bikes, exploring, or chasing new adrenaline-filled adventures. My faith is central to who I am, and it inspires me to create wholesome, memorable experiences for our community.
